else. I don't know enough about some things to make out from the indefinite account you give me whether what you went to the doctor for was serious or only painful. I certainly hope it was not serious and that by this time the pain is over. For Heaven's sake don't let modesty restrain you from getting the best treatment possible. If I had been there and had known I should have taken you to the best specialist in the state. Your lady doctor is no doubt all right, but if you have any reason to fear she is not don't let yourself hesitate about going to an expert even though he be a man. A real doctor treats such confidence as sacred. And one can't afford to have any mistakes made in that kind of treatment. You must
