have the best case possible so that you will be rid of all unnatural suffering. (I can talk quite frankly now, beloved, because I love you so!) I want you to be well enough that you will not miss any of the happiness of the lover or have it marred by pain, for marriage will not be all as you deserve it if you do. I didn't know as much about you when we were first married as I ought to have known. I'm glad that you soon told me and that since then you have told me more. And I hope you will be quite frank in letting me know always how you feel in every way. Am I not your hubby? I want to be so good to you, dear! You must never let me hurt you. I am not a brute. I'm not going to write more on this subject, but sometime with you close in my arms we're going to tell each other
