Saving...
was in Washington. I wonder. Honey, do get me over this silly fear right quick. Promise me that when I come to you, you will make me want you madly, as I do now. You can, so easily! Don't let it be as it was before, dearest, when I wanted you but was so upset by the suddenness of it all that I was simply frightened out of what little wits I had left. You understand me - I know you do, and you know what I mean. You have known since the first time I kissed you, the intensity of my love. Do help me to feel, when I am with you, that that is the love you want. The more I observe other people, the more I am appalled by the nature of my love for you. I can tell you about it quite freely tonight, but when I am with you I try to hide it under a mask of calm absolute independence. That's a lie, Conger. I'm not calm. I'm not independent one bit where you are concerned. Your love
