I find I can get in on the hospital hut service but as yet I do not know whether that would permit me to be with you so I am not following that up save as a last resort. I certainly hope, dear, that you have something in mind aside from showing me Paris. Your letter to Julie leaves me in a a very unsettled state of mind. If I did not believe this work may mean something big to your future I should not attempt to cross. I hope I am not selfish enough to do such a thing when it means such a heap of expense. I can't help but think you didn't mean that letter exactly as it read, because it is so different from the ones you have sent me. I've not sent you the letters from "Ding" because it seems they have not decided to let you
