A letter showing Nanna's reaction to cable asking Daphne to join me in France. CR Wadena Ia Apr 14 - 19 Dearest Conger,- I have been trying to get Daphne to send me your address for some weeks but always when Im in C.R. its forgotten and when she writes me its forgotten again. Thus it has happened, and I have not written you for which Im very sorry. But if you only could know how much I've had to do helping her get ready. There are a thousand things which must be gotten ready for her, and she does not sew very much so you see Ive had to do all I can in hotels at night, and then work sat and sunday in C.R. But now we have her ready, and she has gone for a little visit with your dear Mother. She and Julie went together yesterday. I am so happy Conger dear to learn of your good fortune over there my its just wonderful that you two can have this experience over in the old world together, and while we all long to see our soldier hero again, I know this is going to count for everything in your life work, and it would be a crime to turn such a chance down, Daphne was afraid
