Today I wrote Floyd Gibbons, and I'll anxiously await some word from him, just as I'm waiting to hear again from Ding. It does seem as tho out of all the effort I'm making, some good result must come. I could keep smiling, save for the attacks of my dentist. He nearly killed me today. I found quite a bit more needed to be done than I had expected. I'm sorry to be such an expensive wife, Honey. Will you 'scuse me, please? It thrills me thru and thru to know that you are longing for me. Please continue to tell me about it since your letters are all I have. Don't think I'm despondant dear over this prolonged separation, because I'm just as confident I'll get that passport as I am that I love you. I've never yet wanted anything the way I want to get to you and been disappointed. If I can't get it soon I'll go right to Washington and get it out of
