Dear Mother Reynolds read this and send it on to Julie. Aunt Mary. [Chicago Tribune letterhead] May 31st '19. Dearest P-nut,-- This is my first to you from Paris, for the simple reason that I've had no ink. My pen was dry and I didn't know how to ask for ink, see? Now I am down at the down-town office with Conger for his afternoon session. Well -- less see. We had a fairly smooth trip across, but hardly a bit of sunshine. We had a fine little thunderstorm one day, and rain several days in succession. Of course that was a bit discouraging.
