Saving...
fiendish squawks from taxis in two days than in all the rest of my life, heard many and various languages being spoken all at once in high pitched, nerve wracking voices, inhaled enough cigarette smoke second hand to understand all the thrills of the inveterate smoker -- and had my hand kissed by several Frenchmen. Ooh la! la! Vens voila! So this is Paris!!! Now I'm going to paw around in the desk for an envelope and send this along. It will be a mess, I suppose. but will give you all an idea of what I've been doing. I love you all to pieces, and yet I've hardly had time to think of home more than once or twice since I reached le Havre. I did lots of thinking on the steamer, but since then -- well I've scarcely any brain left. It will all quiet down in time, of course. In the meantime, much love to all, kisses all around and of course the best of everything to my little Muttie. Always, Daphne.
