Sunday, May 11, 1919. My Sweetheart,- Having already written to both my mothers I'll now turn this into Wife's day and write to you. Dear, I love you. I have to begin with that because I've been feeling it so much today. And oo-ooo! how I want you. After I had cabled I got your letters telling about the refusal of your passport and what you were doing. How I have wished since that I could lay hands on the --- (I won't write what I want to call him) who decided it was not "imperative" for you to come!
