Saving...
very cleverly. I'm a bit under the weather today. Nothing serious, you understand but I'm keeping off my feet so I'll feel O.K. tomorrow. We got your good letter containing the clippings. That was too funny - the one about Sanborn owning a chateau. He hardly owns a collar button these days. That must have been Jay Darling's work. Mrs. Sanborn said that Darling wrote up the worst mess when she and Almer were married; said she was a French Aviator who drove her plane the same way most women drove a car - and a lot more rubbish. I wonder that he didn't draw a cartoon of it. We have a new maid today - an Alsatian. So while Conger is away we Bosches get together and speak all the German we like. It is much easier than trying French with her.
