Saving...
mailed Oct. 20th, 1919 Dear Paw and Maw, Since we have learned of the longshoremen's strike back home, we have come to the conclusion that perhaps you all still love us. We have had no mail for several days and it will probably be several more before we get any, according to reports. I was amused by a notice in the Trib this AM. which you will see, as I am sending papers today. It said, in speaking of the strike, that complaints were heard even in the Tribune office regarding no mail having come from home folks - even the managing editor was kicking. You can easily see that altho he doesn't write many letters he squeezes in a kick now and then when he fails to hear regularly from his Dad and Mumsey. All of which goes to show that he is still very much their baby boy - a fact that makes us all love him more.
