Speaking of mail reminds me to thank you for sending the Sunday Capital. We did enjoy it so much. We read every bit of it, and incidentally, I found a big full page written by Betty Van Bentheysen, our Society Ed, about the Gould marital disturbance. It contained several pictures of Mrs. Gould & her Mexican lover and Mr. Gould and his Parisienne sweetheart. The ugly things! The higher people go in society, the lower they go in self-respect & decency, I believe. I took the page down and gave it to Betty, and she was very glad to get it because it was the first she had seen it. She said to thank you for her share of enjoyment. She signs her articles "Betty Van," so in case you ever see her name affixed to news, you may know it is our society Ed who has written it. She writes for a syndicate in the states, and they seem to demand as much sensational stuff as she can get. Of course, Paris is full of it. There is even a scandal in our own family! Sh-sh!
