Now you must be tired out trying to read this. It's such poor writing, but that is because I have the tablet on my knee. Honestly, I can write a little better. We sent off our Xmas things several days ago, but we sent yours separately. Mother dear, because Father's wasn't ready. So each one will get your package alone, and if you dare open them before Xmas, __ oh, what won't we do to you!! Father's birthday and Christmas presents are in the same package - as I've probably told you forty times before. Now I must scoot. I have a can of sweet potatoes which I am going to convert into candied potatoes by cooking them under the gas. (That comes from speaking so much German.) Heaps of love to both of you. And have the bestest time in the world Christmas day. Conger and I will be with you in spirit, and you must think of us lots, too. because it is our day of days. Next
