rather large family over here and hiring (or rather leasing) a large apartment which costs Fr. 700 (at present about $70.00 a month) and now he is fired. They let Farmer Murphy do the same, with the same result. Of course we are putting aside a "rainy day fund" for just such emergency and Conger says he could sell things to various magazines back home if he had to depend on writing. Oh I guess I'm a nut, spelled with a capital P, for worrying, but I have to, sometimes. Honey, our Xmas from you all arrived yesterday and we are so delighted. I am wild about my lovely Teds, and Conger's shirt is a beauty. I'll be glad when he wears it. Do hope our things
