Fri Jan 16 has been cloudy & cold all day snowed a little I sewed carpet rags today Lintha worked at crazy work Jim halled a load of grubs for Bill Gorings father busked some wood Will came home from Morts I went to Elgin to the dance Bell Curtins borrowed my shawl to go to the dance at Elgin we had nudles for dinner I baked bread to day Jim Wallace Lintha and I played Finch Wallace got mad I made (illegible) for Jim Lintha & I Sat Jan 17 A lovely warm sunshiny day I scrubed mother came home at noon to day Wallace & I went over to uncle Jacks to a sing had a nice time Fremont Ogle was here this evening
