Tues Dec 22 rather a disagreeable morning we had a fearfull rain last night thundered & lightninged Jim & Bill took old browny over to Humphryes & got 15 dollars for her Fred Bevin bought a cow from Bill P to day I knit & sewed some cant walk much on my foot yet I rote a letter to Em Lang to day Wed Dec 23 A lovely day I finished Bills socks & made 3 lovo horse shoes for the girls Meriah Shaffer was here a few minutes this eve also Alice Johnston Wallace & Bill is up to see Luther to night my foot is getting better & I am glad father caught a pocket gopher in a trap in the garden to day a very large one good night Iam for bed
