we commenced to cut oats to day Father isent well came in & is laying down Russell is feeling real good is asleep sun Aug 4 A nice day had a shower this eve good for corn Lena Wallace & Chauncy had dinner with us to day we went to ss & church Mon Aug 5 we washed this fornoon cleaned the poarches this afternoon am very very tired Tues Aug 6 A hot day had a heavy rain this eve we ironed Mother canned 14 qts cucumber pickels Wallace got 17 pigs from T Richard for 2 dollars a piece
