2 touch. I've seen ships with friends on, but it is seldom that we can get to see them. I like the ship very will, its not too G.I. which suits me fine. The skipper is an old merchant marine man. We have a fine bunch of officers and a hard working crew. The food is excellent, the truth is that I've gained 10#, and should be better as today we are loading provisions, fresh potatoes, eggs, and fruit. I'm asst. gunnery officer, and a member of the coding board - really quite a job decoding all the messages. We have a dog that reminds me of Andy - he's not a cocker, but he's really fat. Say hello to everyone for me. Sincerely, Bill Ens. W. F. Armstrong
