Charles Lordans, Proprietor Fire Proof Ralston Hotel O.W. Donnell, Manager Columbus, Georgia The Infantry School, Camp Benning Sept. 6, 1919 Dear Karl - Just to show I'm a good scout I'll write another letter putting us three letters to one card in our latest series. Had expected a card from you at Cleveland to tell me what the attraction was. Hope you got my letter all right. The chief bits of news I have are that my exams are over, so that my provisional commission will probably soon be made permanent, and that I am ordered relieved from this school September 20. I've just been assigned to the 50th Infantry and ordered to report at Camp Dix as soon as I can get away from the school. I hope that this transfer means overseas service as the 50th is wider orders to join the Army of Occupation and is expected to Police Silesia
