People for that sort of jobs are not as thick as I thought they were when I was applying for it. If it weren't for my foreign service detail I'd take it myself but, as Col. Mumma said, "I knew there was no use trying to get you when I heard of your orders to the Army of Occupation." It would take a darn good job to take me out of the Army now, before I've been over. Drop me a line at the Jefferson tomorrow (Friday) as I expect to be there most of Friday & Saturday when I'm not at Dr. Whinery's getting my repairs. My "open face" induces modesty and makes me very retiring & diffident. Can't pronounce "f" or "s" or "th." Don't tell any of the crowd what I'm going through. I'm too young to be getting toothless, you know. Good night, Bob
