Sunday Dear Miss Williams - Your card giving the "dope" on Russian books came this morning and I assure you it's appreciated. I'll write Dutton as soon as I get settled at the Fort. That descriptive phrase of your brother's is rather discouraging, but I may not have to learn much of the beastly stuff. The Max Meyer statement is very interesting. We can't thoroughly hate Max now in spite of his violation of Mr. Wallace's "neutrality", can we? I expect to stop in Iowa City a few hours Tuesday evening
