October 27:17 Dear Miss Williams - Your letter came this afternoon while I was in the twin cities, but I had a feeling that I ought to look in my mail box before I came to my quarters so now I'm in position to answer promptly. Thank you for sending on Marie's good letter, which I enjoyed very much. It seems that she has a letter due from me and I'll try to catch up on my correspondence tomorrow if I don't get to it tonight. She writes so well that it's a shame not to let her use her gift. Don't you think? As you say, so say I. That visit to Iowa City was one that I, too, "was not at all satisfied with." But please don't feel that I resented at all what you said. The part that there are those who take a real interest in what I do
