A visit to Iowa City looks rather distant, in spite of what you say. When the War is over I may come back and may not. I'm trying to forget all about some of the things that happened to me there. That is why I'm doing so much of this party, theatre picnic stuff when I'm not at work. Later Have been to see Madame Hammer, "Norway's Greatest Actress." If her work tonight was her best there should be a lot of good openings on the Norwegian stage for ambitious girls with dramatic ability. She was good, but not at all wonderful - or maybe it was Ibsen whom I couldn't enjoy. Her husband, I suppose Rolf Hammer is her husband, had a much bigger opportunity and took advantage of it so well that she was really a minor character.
