Page We Discuss the Covers Where is good old Margaret Brundage? Does anyone know? Of course I know she's illustrating for Golden Fleece, but I truly miss those rather lurid covers. She was THE artist for Weird Tales. What sayest Thou? Im not saying that I dislike Finlay, not in the least, but I think there was none better than M. Brundage. Remember the beautiful covers illustrating such stories as: "Sea Witch" - "The Witch's Mark" - "Wolf Girl of Josselin" "Beyond the Phoenix" (Brundage' best in my opinion) "Red Nails" - "Devil in Iron" and "The Vampire Master" (another masterpiece) There were many others as we all know. In my opinion, the covers of Fantastic, Strange and Startling are the best this month. Pauls' back cover depicting the creature of Venus is truly PAUListic. What do you think of Paul's covers for SCIENCE-FICTION? I think they're a big deterioration over his old stuff, In fact, not even worthy of Paul. Although his interior illustrations are tops, truly as good as the old Wonder's. Guess thats all.......See you in the fourth dimension.
