Saving...
AMAZING WONDER TALES LOUIS MAURIDO Besides something tells me that it's true." CHAPTER THREE of MASS OFFERING A certain man, a priest, Panuon by name is going to do all he can in offering a mass for the release of the poor fellow's soul from the tortures of Lucifer. He says, for all that he has done and tried to do, he has witnessed the All-Mighty's power and has repented. God himself would want us to do all we can to save him. I too wish that he be freed and I entreat all of you to help as much as you can. THE END: FINIS ************************* ARTICLES OF INTEREST ************************ THE METHOD OF HEATING EVOLVED Metal walls with panels designed to either radiate heat or to maintain freezing temperatures have been designed or rather developed for rooms so that the ideal conditions for living can more nearly be approached according to a scientific report by Dr. G. A. Wills, professor of experimental medicine at the University of Cincinnati. The radiant walls, with their hot or cold panels, use the body's own heating system so that each person supplies his inner warmth or refrigeration independently of room temperature over quite a wide range. Heating engineers have been developing these new heating systems for nearly ten years. The metallic were built into the walls of experimental rooms in the medical laboratories. They were made hot enough to radiate heat or cold enough to absorb radiation from the bodies of those in the room. Man passed many hours in these rooms. Some mice passed their lives there. It was possible to cause the human beings to shiver in a temperature of 90, even with humidity at the steaming point. They also could take their coats off in comfort at a temperature near freezing. In between these extremes Dr. Mills found a type of indoor climate which he said should decrease respiratory diseases in men. He found in the radiant walls a protection against the shock of sudden temperature changes. Feasibility of the radiation control method, Dr. Mills, lies in different or rather differences in radiant heat absorption and emission by various wall materials. More research, he said is needed to find these differences. -- ED. SCIENCE ODDITIES OF INTEREST In 1740, cobwebs were used by a frenchman to make stockings. Now, the artificial silk used in ladies silk stockings is made from the same chemical as gunpowder. There is one day in every month on which the moon does not rise, and another on which it does not set. ED.
