Fri Oct 12 A gloomy day rained a little we patched all afternoon got it all dun thank fortune sat Oct 13 A fine day I was alone all day the folks all went to Oelwein got the girls some hats Mr & Mrs Fred Schneider called a while to see the plastering on the house I did a lot of work am tired sun Oct 14 A nice day I visited Grany Ogle this afternoon she was alone the rest all went away the home folks went to see Hervy Ashleimans new baby
