having a time feeding little lambs 3 have died we baked cookies & fryed cakes & did other work buisy all day I slept a while sat Apri 9 A very gloomy day no sunshine Russells laundry came today we got it all ready to send back Monday W L went to Elgin West Union & Fayette to farm bureau meeting Dorothy went home with him found the road bad to Elgin left the cars at Fred Ruts this eve & walked home good enough sun Apri 10 A nic day a chilly wind drying the roads & mud no one went to church from here but Wallace Mon Apri 11 A fine day roads drying up
