Fri May 27 A cold rainy day rained just awful hard we had the county agent Ludwig & another man Fred Rothlisberger & Fred Schneider to dinner Ludwig was showing how to kill rats wood chucks & all such things sat May 28 this has been a cold day is just awful cold this eve the girls & I are going to bed to get warm Wallace & Lena went to Elgin this fornoon he went to West Union this afternoon got a tooth filled it rained last night (my?) so cold this eve sun May 29 A cold day is misting rain
