wed sept 14 A hot day & so very dusty we had a nice water mellan in this eve W L got it yesterday he was at Elgin this fornoon Lena 3 qts corn relish & she ironed picked the beans th sept 15 A hot day at 5 PM we had a nice rain Wallace was at Wadena this fornoon West Union this afternoon came from West Union in the rain we caned 14 qts corn I am so tired & sleepy it was 91 in the shade here about noon Fri sept 16 A warm day we had a lovely rain last night we caned tomatoes Wallace took Lena to Postville this afternoon to Dr smith he said was her kidnies was the trouble
