Fri Oct 5 A good day wind real chilly all day it changed got warmer this eve Ella & Aulden went to Waterloo to the Cattle Congress Wallace & Lena went to Nancy Ernst got some grapes we caned 8 qts tomatoes & 2 qts of the juice for soup I am very tired & sleepy Wallace was at Elgin this afternoon sun Oct 6 not so cold today Mort Lina & Erma their girl that works for them as here this afternoon Wallace & Ella was at Orval McKeller's funeral this afternoon Ella had dinner at I F shaffers Lena & I finished our grapes all taken care of now good night
