Mon Oct 21 A fine day we had the May Tag agent to wash for us today Russell took Ella to school this morning him & dad went to West Union this eve Dad was to Elkader today the preacher was here this afternoon & finished diging his potatoes Auld helped him Tues Oct 22 A cold windy day rained some this eve we got our potatoes all in the cellar thank goodness Rev Snyder was here to dinner Russell & Ester went to Cedar Rapids this morning wed Oct 23 not very good day we had our first snow storm last nite & most of today I havnt felt well all day the league is to meet here
