so Lena said Wallace had to come home with [illegible] horse he was sick but not bad we had nice fried chicken for dinner Mon sept 13 A warm day we washed rained a little this forenoon is thundering this eve I am just awful tired Tues sept 14 A rainy gloomy day rained very hard at times to day & heavy rain last night I ironed canned 3 qts each of plumbs & tomatoes
