Tues apri 28 a gloomy day commenced to rain between 4 & 5 this afternoon is raining hard now at 9 oclock tonight Lena & Wallace went to Elgin this afternoon got rained on as they was coming home Aulden & I washed the new (lap?) buggy Mary set out in her buggy & watched us wed apri 27 we had some rain this fornoon ground is solid Wallace got 6 bushel of potatoes of John Rothlisberger paid 1.00 a bushel th apri 28 a nice day we had frost last night I scraped some off a roof it was thick froze ice isent very warm this eve Jake Yerouse Jr baby died this eve
