The show this week plays very well, but practically every act on the bill is overpaid. It is just an instance of the general get-away from us that we are allowing in the matter of salaries. The show is no better than several that we have had this season at a much lesser cost, not because of the price of the headline alone which does enter into it, but because the rank and file are all getting much more than they ought to be getting, even in these days of high priced acts. They cannot draw the difference.
CHAS. LOVENBERG.

LUCILLE & COCKIE: Young woman with two parrots in an interesting little turn which pleased generally/ 12 minutes in two, could be worked in one. $50. overpaid.
RAYMOND & SCHRAM: A most ordinary act of two young men, singing comedy songs that are not very comical. Voices are only fair, and nothing in the world to warrant them being considered anything more than a mediocre act. 14 min. in one. $100. overpaid.
SULLY & HOUGHTON: Young fellow and girl in a very pleasant little turn of singing, dancing and dialogue. Went very well. 20 min. in one. $50. overpaid.
JAMES & SAIDE LEONARD: In their old act of "When Ceasar C's Her" which got as many laughs as in the old days. It has been slightly re-vamped and brought up to date and proved to be a good vehicle. 14 min. full stage.
O'NEIL ' KELLAR: Another young fellow and girl in a turn that met with approval. Act consists of singing, dancing and dialogue with special drop. Getting at least all it is worth. 17 min. in one.
JOE TOWLE: Well known comedy act, which was a big laughing hit. From that standpoint he is probably getting not more than he should. 17 min. in one.
CHARLES KING & CO: A very classy act, good people all through, good production and a nice idea. I think it pleased thoroughly, although there was not much applause. The matter of its being handled having a good deal to do with stopping the applause, because of the continuation of one number to the other. I believe it will draw some money and regardless of this, I think they are getting $500. more than they should from any standpoint. 25 min. full stage.
SABINI & GOODWIN: A long drawn out affair with some good spots. I don't call it a good act. 22 min. open in one, goes to full stage and closes in one. I would fix no standard salary to this, because I don't like it at all.
JORDAN GIRLS: Singing, dancing and wire act. Well known act that held the audience to the finish and seemd to please. 9 min. open in, close full stage.
