The first part of the show this week is pretty slow and not nearly as good in quality as first class vaudeville demands these days. It made it rather difficult for the rest of the show. We are also handicapped by a lot of very short acts, whose plots called for a great deal more time than they do, thus misleading one trying to arrange a show; it being particularly a handicap, in my endeavor to get along with eight acts.
CHAS. LOVENBERG.

DENNIS BROTHERS: This act has outlived its usefulness for first class vaudeville, years ago. Their work means nothing and that with the time consumed, makes it practically worhtless. 5 min. full stage.
HELENE DAVIS: (Smiles) If there had been a good likeable act preceding Miss Davis to wake the audience up, she could have fared better. As it was, she just got by very nicely. She has a fair act, nothing startling. 12 min. open and close in one, part of the act in two.
THE TWO JESTERS: I don't see why they called themselves "Jesters". They don't do anything very funny; they sing two very ordinary songs in an ordinary manner. 12 min. in one.
IMHOF, CONN & [COREHME?]: These people landed the first laugh or applause of consequence in the show. Imhof is a wonderful character comedian and his work was received with decided approval. 32 minutes, full stage.
A. ROBBINS & PARTNER: In a novel act of imitation of various musical imitations, with a little comedy interspersed. 9 min. in one
U. S. GLEE CLUB: Thirty-two men in one of the greatest singing acts ever offered in vaudeville. No need to speak of their success, it was assured in advance. 24 min. full stage.
BRENDEL & BURT: Practically the same act they gave us last year, with a few elaborations at the finish. A big laughing hit. 15 min. in one.
HORLICK & SARAMPA SISTERS: A very nice, but not extraordinary dancing act. This is the first week of the season that the closing act has not been able to hold the audience to their seats, although these people dance very well, still it is somewhat stereotyped, and beautiful draperies and costumes do not make an act. 10 min. full stage.
CUTS: THE TWO JESTERS: Entire Turkish Harem Song.
