PROVIDENCE. R. I. E. F. ALBEE NOV. 22nd, 1920 We have a very well playing show this week which seems to give general satisfaction. CHAS. LOVENBERG. BRENCKE'S BRONZE HORSE: Posing act by woman and horse which has been played along the lines considerably and which went quite well. 5 min. full stage. CAPPELLE & WALSH: Miss Wlash was taken seriously ill upon the train en route to Providence and was taken from the railroad station direct to the hospital where she is in a dangerous condition. Miss Cappelle sang a few songs alone in order to give us a chance to make a set and got by quite nicely. She has a pretty good soprano voice, sings some Italian numbers in costume. 6 min. in one. THE HAUNTED VIOLIN: This is quite a novelty, but after the first few minutes, the thing palls a bit and grows monotonous. Not what I would call a good act for vaudeville. 12 min. full stage. CHARLES IRWIN: Well known monologist who went as well as usual. 18 min. in one. HARRY CONLEY & COMPANY: In a novelty sketch which went very well indeed. 25 min. full stage. RUSSIAN CATHEDRAL SINGERS: Four men with quite good voices which they use very effectively, in Russian and English songs presented in costumes and special scenery. A Good act. 14 min. open in one close full stage. JOHN B. HYMER & COMPANY: Mr. Hymer repeated his former success with his old act "Tom Walker in Dixie" which he has brightened up with new material. As big a hit as always. 33 Min. open and close in one. MARY HAYNES: A clever girl who went over quite well, but I see no reason to have clamored for her the way we did or to pay her the exhorbitant salary she is receiving. She simply has a good act and that's all. 18 min. in one. JEWEL'S CIRCUS DAY IN TOYLAND: Very good manikin production which held the audience in good style and pleased. 11 min. full stage.
