PROVIDENCE E. F. ALBEE NOVEMBER 7, 1921 The show this week is only fair. Some of the things went very well; nothing failed, but I can't see anything in it that is going to create enthusiastic comment. CHARLES LOVENBERG SEYMOUR'S HAPPY FAMILY - Trained dogs in an act of fair merit and of usual tricks. Allright in its place. 13 minutes full stage. FRANK WARD AND DOLLIES - Mr. Ward has some little dolls that he manipulates with his fingers, the fingers appearing as the legs. A decided novelty well executed and liked very much indeed by the audiences as well as myself. 10 minutes in one. RICHARD KEAN & CO.- In an act of impersonations of famous dramatic characters. Quite bombastic, the sort of thing that most vaudeville audiences like. 17 minutes full stage. ANN GRAY - Harpist and soprano. I think Miss Gray has improved somewhat and went quite well. 13 minutes in one. WILLIAM AND JOE MANDEL - These people and their comedy acrobatic act scored a bit hit as they have all along the line. 12 minutes full stage. THE CREIGHTONS - Rube comedians. An act somewhat out of the ordinary which went very well. 17 minutes in one. KLICK KLICK with Al Gerrard and Florrie Millership. This is a very disappointing act. I can't see for the life of me why an act like this should be given a route at the salary they are getting. It is very nicely done as far as production is concerned and I cant say that Miss Millership or Gerard are not capable performers, but there isn't a single thing done in the act individually that we would consider playing at all in most houses. I would rather have had Millership and Gerard in a corking good act in one and certainly we would have been better off with two acts at $500 or $600 each than with this thing, which as far as I can see, means nothing at all. 28 minutes full stage.
