Saving...
80 Brothers Martine, 2 shows, 12 min. full stage -- These men seem to be doing a better act than on the occasion of their last engagement, and were one of the hits of the show. The comedy is not bad at all, and the chap who turns the 60 somersaults in 60 seconds is a decidedly clever acrobat. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1 -- Principal picture this week is that of the Brooklyn Handicap of this year, which, as claimed, is probably the best race picture ever made. It evidently excited unusual interest among our audience, but strange enough was not applauded to any extent. Another picture called, "A Daylight Burglary," scored a much better hit. Eddie Reeves, 3 shows, 10 min. in 1 -- Step dancing specialist. All right in his class. Ed Perry and Edith Randall, 3 shows, 15 min. full stage -- Singing and dancing specialists, with a bit of dramatic recitation by the man. It is a much better act than either of the first three I had following the orchestra, and will get one of those places tomorrow. Comment.-The show will be fairly good when rearranged, but it is bad enough at that compared with the sort of programs we usually give here. The effort to retrench is not good policy, as the big act must be supported by the equally good variety.
