148 NEW YORK SHOW: WEEK SEPTEMBER 19th: BIOGRAPH: We are presenting by special request in the Biograph, the film entitled "Kit Carson", scenes from the life and adventures of the great American Scout and Trapper. The film is well known and it goes well. VON CAMP: NH-3: 19 Mins. full stage. Magician, assisted by a lady. This young man has greatly improved; he only does a few tricks, and they are very cleverly executed. He closes with the old box illusion, assisted by the woman, which mystifies the audience. INNESS & RYAN: NH-3: 16 Mins. in one. Man and woman. Talking and singing comedy. They are bad singers and fair talkers, although a fair act to open the show. CURTIS & ADAMS: NR-3: 15 mins. in one. Two men in a singing German Comedy, talking and dancing act. A good three-show-a-day act. THE CHAMEROYS: NR-3: 11 Mins. Garden 3: Man and woman. Hand to hand equilibrists. Woman assists the man and does some difficult and intricate feats of high balancing. CARTWELL & HARRIS: GYH-2: 9 Mins. Drop 2: Young man and woman in a neat singing and dancing number. Nicely dressed, elegant singers and very good dancers. SIG. GERMINAL: YRR-2: 10 Mins. in one. this is Mr. Germinal's first American appearance. He dresses in character that of a French peasant. Tall, makes a good appearance and has a marvelous voice. He only sang two ballads, and they were in French. He is without doubt, the best baritone that ever appeared here. FANNY RICE: HRR-2: 18 Mins. in two. Operatic comedienne. She opens with the umbrella song with the electric lights attached and then goes to the doll cabinet work, giving five characters. The act is no longer a novelty; too much money, although she was well received. MELANI TRIO: YRR-2: 12 Mins. in one. Three men. Vocalists and instrumentalists. Very good. MILTON & DOLLY NOBELS: MNH-2: Assisted by a man and woman, with props playing a small part, in a comedy, "The Days of '49". The situation is taken from his farce, Belina Bailey's Boarders". Mr. Nobles takes the character of an Irishman, while his wife impersonates a young widow. The company is good. The act contains a lot of good laughs and funny situations. It is away from anything this man ever done. I believe later on it will be one of the best acts Mr. Nobles has ever presented. 34 minutes, carrying his own setting. CHAS. M. ERNEST: GHR-2: Black-face comedian. He opened with a lot of political material, favoring the democratic party that fell flat; He will change this to-night. His parodies went very good. 22 Mins. Dr. 1. VASSAR GIRLS: HRR-2: Eight pretty young ladies in a beautiful electrical musical novelty. The musical portion was well received, considering the over-abundance of music on the bill. The spectacular finish was very strongly applauded. 20 mins. open in 1, close full stage. JAMES HARRIGAN: GNH-2: This man made a big hit this afternoon with his parodies, considering his time on the bill which was quite late. His monologue although old, was well received and his juggling went very strong. 23 Mins. open in one, close in two. BROTHERS RIGOLETTO: GYH-2: Two young men making their American debut in an acrobatic and revolving ladder act. They are clean in appearance, nicely dressed. They open with a few acrobatic stunts and go to the revolving ladder, similar to Delmore & Lee. Their work on the ladder is clever. One good trick is standing on the extreme end of the ladder while balancing, playing mandolin and guitar solos. S.K. HODGDON.
