Fadettes. This well known musical organization requires no criticism this time other than to say that we rather miss the old drummer and I heard a number of murmurs of disappointment at her non-appearance. I am not particularly in favor with the programme that Mrs. Nichols is giving us this week still that is easily remedied. 30 min. full stage, 2 shows. Charles M. Ernest. Blackface comedian. Although he didn't go very strong with this afternoon's audience he has a lot of mighty bright stuff and I rather look for him to make a hit tonight. It seemed that his material was rather subtle for our matinee crowd of today. 20 min. in one, 2 shows. Mr. & Mrs. Gardner Crane. Spite of the fact that they practically closed the show, going on at 4:30, this act was the laughing hit of the show and held the audience in their seats for a curtain call. It is one of the best sketches in Vaudeville and excellently played. 27 min. full stage, 2 shows. Biograph. Collection of views this week are only fair. I shall write a note of protest for some of the pictures i have been getting of late. Leonard & Drake. This is a pretty tame affair, in the form of a sketch, by a man and woman, in which the man introduces some imitations of animals, soda-water, saw, etc. I don't think I shall ever want it again. It is simply good enough to fill in time with and nothing more. 13 min. open in three, close in one, 3 shows.
