The Golden Gate Quintet and Fanny Winnifred, 2 shows, 18 min. open in 2, closes in 1 -- Lively quintet of "real coon" singers and dancers. Could stand for a much better place in the bill than it is possible to give them this week. Held the audience remarkably. Just the same should never have got out of the 3-show section. Barr and Evans, 3 shows, 16 min. full stage -- In an eccentric comedy sketch, too well known to need description. Went as well as ever. Comment - The show is a good one and with a little rearrangement to give it better balance will draw satisfactorily, and judging by the attendance this afternoon we are due for another week's big business, despite opposition.
