Report on show Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of November 16, 1903. (Charles Lovenberg) The show is unquestionably one of the best, if not the very best we have had this season, in fact, it is too good, as a result it ran over time mostly and we had to sacrifice some very good acts at a time when there were very few people in the house. The La Tells. Hand balancers. A very good act from a three a day standpoint. Ordinarily I would say it was too short to be of value but as we don't need the time this week it makes no difference. 7 min. full stage. 3 shows. 70 Jennings & Renfrew. Blackface, singing, talking and dancing act. These young men have improved greatly since their last appearance here and should be now classed as a fairly good three a day act. 12 min. in one. 3 shows. Eldora. Juggler. This act is too well known to require comment. Went as well as ever. 22 min. open full stage close in one, 3 shows. Galletti's Monkeys. This is a very good act and he has some novelties in the way of the monkeys playing the bamboo chimes, automobile entrance, sulky race, Doctor and ambulance entry. 15 min. full stage, 3 shows. Al Lawrence. Mimic. He gave us quite a lot of new material and made considerable of a hit. 17 min. in one. 3 shows. Swedish Ladies Quintette. While the singing in this act is only fair, the costumes, scenery, etc., created a very pretty picture and there is enough of the novelty in it to make it a very desirable act. 15 min. full stage. Carry their own scenery. 2 shows. Joe Flynn. Stories and parodies. His material is not new by any means but he has revived it in such a manner as to impart quite a little novelty into it. 18 min. in one, [2? 3?] shows. Milton & Dolly Nobels. In the "Blue Grass Widow". I wish we had not had this act although it is good but it has been seen too much and on account of its great length the audience seemed to get dopy over it. 36 min. full stage. 2 shows. Musical Dale. Unquestionably the best musical artist in Vaudeville. 18 min. in one, 2 shows. Girard & Gardner. In the same act "The Soubrette and the Cop", which as offered, no change whatever, and should now be called out until they give us something new. 23 min. full stage. 2 shows. Charlie Case. A big hit in a most difficult place on the bill in spite of the fact that he had all old material 15 min. in one, 2 shows. Collins & Hart. This is an act something after the style of Blocksom & Burns except that it is in whiteface and it is undoubtedly the best act of its kind that I have ever seen, they have the funniest lots of stunts on the wire and they had the audience screaming. 17 min. full stage, 2 shows. Biograph. Good collection of views.
