206 CRITICISM OF SHOW. KEITH'S NEW THEATRE, PHILA. FEB. 29TH McDONALD & HUNTINGTON-15 mins.-Gar. in 2-Man and woman, straight singing and dancing act. Man sings out of the corner of his mouth. However, his dancing is good, better than the average. Only a fair little act. All right for an opener. BAILEY & FLETCHER-15 mins. in one-Two men, real coons, dressed in band uniforms. A little music, some jokes, and a bit of singing and dancing. Songs were all old--very old. Dancing was good. Pretty lively three-a-day act. Good for the early bill. COUTURE & GILLETTE-13 mins.-Landscape in 3-Two men, acrobats, one working straight, and one as rube. Comedy is poor. Work of the straight man is good, for he is also a contortionist. Very good three-a-day act. ALTHEA TWINS-12 mins.-Garden in 2-Two girls, acrobatic dancers; make two changes of costume. They do nothing unusual, and this afternoon the act did not run as smoothly as it might. Received a little applause, and may work better to-night. A good act (when it works well) for an unimportant place on the bill. McCUE & CAHILL-14 mins. in one-Two men, straight singing act. The men have excellent voices, and give a first class straight singing act. Received real applause. An excellent act for this house. Could play a return. THE FADETTES OF BOSTON-30 mins.-Three Arch Fancy and Ceiling in 5-A new set, with ceiling, chandelier, etc. Same as usual. OTTO BROS.-15 mins. in one-Two men, German comedians. Started off fairly well, went backwards for a time, and finished very strong. Their finish carries the act, which can be called good. ANNIE ABBOTT-23 mins.-Pal. in 3-Seemed to arouse as much interest as last week. An excellent drawing card. JOHN DONAHUE & MATTIE NICHOLS-12 mins.-Gar. in 3-close in one-Old favorites here. Always go very strong. HUMBERTY-14 mins.-Gar. in 4-Man, juggler. A pleasant surprise. All his tricks were entirely new; absolutely new; and they contained a great element of novelty. A very good act. Went very strong, with liberal applause. ED. LATELL-20 mins. in one-Monologue and musical act. Well known on the circuit. Always goes well here. Very good act. DAVIS, MACAULEY & CO.-25 mins.-Spec. Set-In a sketch, entitled "Pals." Rather talky, and the whole dialogue leads up to the climax--a fight on the staircase, in which, glasses, chandelier, etc., are smashed, the whole culminating with the breaking of the stairway. A great windup. Very good act. BIOGRAPH-20 mins.-Sheet in one-Fair selection. CARLOTTA DELMAR-10 mins.- Landscape in 4-Woman, trick cyclist. Good act. COMMENT:-The show is fair to good throughout, the dull places being the Fadettes and the Abbott act. These acts both hold the closest attention, but put
