Reporton show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of Oct. 18, 1905. (Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr.) The bill this week is far from satisfactory being unquestionably the poorest of the season. The special handicap in arranging the program was the excessive salary paid to Bloom & Cooper and Guyer & O'Neill who, in no sense reached the point of topline features although their salaries placed them in that category. Both of those acts are paid, to say the least, one hundred dollars too much. and Burke & Dempsey get at least double what they are worth and they belong in the three a day class. Nibbe & Bordeaux. I cannot understand for the life of me how such an act as this got by after the first week on the circuit' It is entirely devoid of merit and is very coarse. 10 min. in 1, 3 shows. Walter Daniels This man always gives good value for the money in the three a day section but as he has given us the same stuff so many times would be better not to repeat him until he gets a couple of new characters in his impersonations. 14 min. in 2, can work in 1, 3 shows. Taylor & Taylor. Put in to replace The Frazer Trio who failed to appear on account of illness. The woman of this team didn't arrive in time for the first performance and so an intelligent criticism is not possible now but think the act will be all right from the three a day standpoint. Bruce & Daigneau. Two young men who do a singing act with changes of costumes and special scenery for one song. They are attractuve looking girls and sing fairly well, and the act is all right in the early section. Open and close in 1, 12 minutes, 3 shows. Stirk & Loudan. Bicyclists, Barrel jumpers and acrobats. Fairly good three a day act. 14 min. in 1, 3 shows. Bloom & Cooper. These people didn't reach for the amount of money paid. It is not a bad act by any means but $200. would be, to say the least, ample compensation for what they give. 21 min. full stage, 2 shows. Burke & Dempsey. I had these men down a couple of pegs in the programme and they fell so absolutely flat that I was obliged to put them up here. The straight man, Dempsey, has a very good personality but Burke has about as much comedy in his makeup as a cow and they went off without a hand. 18 min. in 1, 2 shows. Ferry Corwoy. Musical clown. This man went very well with this afternoons audience but by no means made a hit. It is a novelty worth playing once although I think he is getting more moeny than he is entitled to. It is nothing that one would care to see a second time. 11 min. full stage, 2 shows. Louse Dresser. This young woman is always acceptable to our audiences and got a big advance applause and made quite a hit with her various songs. 14 min. in 1, 2 shows. Baron's Dog Menagierie. This is quite a novelty to play one time but failed to get the screams of laughter which was attributed to it in other cities. I think, however, it will attract the children and get us some money in that way. 14 min. close with about 3 min. in 1, 2 shows. Guyer & O'Neill. The first ten minutes of this act went very flat They got some laughs on Guyer's pantomimic work with the beer keg and finished with a scream on their
