New York Criticisu--Oct. 30th, 1905. --::(2)::-- CECILIA LOFTUS: Imitations. This woman received a tremendous ovation when she appeared. Was compelled to bow continually in acknowledgement, fully three minutes. All her imitations received spontaneous applause. Took half a dozen bows on her finish. Quite a number left after her number, showing that she was the star attraction. Presume she will draw money. 22 min. full stage- 2 shows J. F. MACDONALD: Songs and stories: Pleasing personality. Held this place down in great shape. All his material is good and at the price an excellent act. 16 min. in one-- 2 shows WILFRED CLARKE & CO. 2 men and 2 women: In a comedy: "No More Trouble": I believe it is the best comedy Mr. Clarke ever presented here. Situations in business were very funny. Company is excellent. Received two curtain clls on the finish. 18 min.- full stage- 2 shows SAVOY QUARTETTE: 4 young men: Singing Comedy: Comedy just about passes. Their voices are good. They managed to make them laugh down in this spot although it was a little hard-going for them, but cannot do otherwise. 15 min. in one- 2 shows HOWARD'S PONIES & DOGS: This man has improved his act since last here. The animals are nicely trained although the act lacks ginger. It is a very pretty sight-act. Rreceived scattered applause throughout. 18 in.-full stage- 2 KINETOGRAPH: "Manoeuvres of the Great English War Fleet" Very good photographically "The Pastry Cook's Joke" Good. "At the Zoo" Interesting. "Where's My Horse" Fair "Pussy's Breakfast." Pleasing.
