Sunny South, 2 shows, 17 min. full stage--Twelve colored singers and dancers evenly divided as to sex. Has been described in the other houses. Started off rather tame, but when the got down to their real "coon" material, it went with considerable applause and the eccentric dancing at the close sent it off big. Quigley Brothers, 2 shows, 18 min. in 1--In their talking specialty, "A Congressman at Large". Had some new material and scored considerable laughter and appause but did not close as strong as I should like to see them. Wormwood's Dog and Monkey Circus, 2 shows, 15 min. full stage (Can close in 1, if necessary). Has a big troupe of dogs and monkeys (about 15 dogs nd 5 or 6 monkeys) who do all sorts of stunts from smoking cigarettes to a mathematical dog that went big with the children today. Certainly a good act for the children, although the animals are not as well trained, neither does Wormwood treat them as well as most of the trainers who come here. Kinetograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Showing the following list of intereting motion pictures: 1. The Hen and the Golden Egg. An excellent picture from every standpoint that scored a big hand. 2. The Bishop and the Burglar. Fair comedy picture. The Bennetts, 3 shows, 14 min. full stage--Man and woman, in a musical specialty. About the aveage 3-a-day material. Francis Wood, 3 shows, 11 min. full stage--Hoop roller. While I can't see anything extra about the act, it seemed to catch the audience toay sufficiently to justify my calling it a good 3-show act for the figure. Comment:- Reeves and Quinn did not show up today and neither did they think it worth while sending word and as a consequence thereof I was forced to burn the stereopticon considerably in the night show. With the exception of Burton and Brooks, the show seemed to please the large and enthusiastic audience, which I think was made up of real holiday material.
