PHILADELPHIA SHOW. JAN. 8TH 1906. -3- C. E. BARNS. ROSE WENTWORTH-2-Equestrienne novelty. A ripping good circus act that went well being beautifully costumed, and set. The feats were the regulation circus kind, all the more difficult for being placed on the stage. The applause showed that animal training and spectacularacts on the vaudeville stage are most welcome. The finish with the electric lights on the harness of the white horse, brought a strong hand. 12 mins. Circus drop in 5. KINETOGRAPH:- 1. Joke on the Roundsman. Rather slow beginning, but works up to an amusing finish. 2. Views and People in Ceylon. A very beautiful series of films, and interesting to a general audience. 3. Phases of the Moon. French comedy series, and all right as a filler in. GENERAL REMARKS:- The whole tone of the show is right up to the standard, but too many musical acts. By a rearrangement this will not appear so obvious. Think that the star features will get us good houses for the balance of the week.
