Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., March 12, 1906. (Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr.) The bill is hardly as good as I expected. It lacks go and comedy; still it is fairly satisfactory. V. P. Woodward. Tambourine spinner. Well known; all right to open the show. 10 min. in 2, can work in 1, 2 shows. Ellen Nibla. This is a pretty bad proposition. I was under the impression I was getting a girl of the Lillian Ashley type whereas I am getting a very homely antiquated soprano with a "nanny-goat" tremolo. Pretty bad, but will manage to get by. 9 min. in 1, 2 shows. The Luigi Bros. Acrobats. Three rather young boys, one comedy, two straight. Exceptionally good 3 a day act. 10 min. full stage. Texakana & Walby. Singing and dancing sister act. Singing just gets by. Dancing very good. 12 min. in 1, 3 shows. Mr. & Mrs. Cal Stewart. Yankee comedy sketch, went first rate this afternoon, although I hardly think it is worth the salary. 18 min. in 1-1/2, 3 shows. Mignani Family. "The Musical Barbers". Wellknown act which went to the satisfaction of the audience. 14 min. in 3, can close in 1, 3 shows. Carter & Bluford. Colored people presenting a very nice act, entirely different from that of any "coons" that I know of. It is not a comedy turn, but one of character changes. The woman is a very handsome specimen of the colored race and wears some beautiful clothes. Exceptionally good act for the money. 12 min. in 1, 2 shows. Nina Morris & Co. In "A Friend's Advice". Got the laughs all through. 18 min. full stage, 2 shows. Three Dumonds. Parisian Street Musicians and singers. Wellknown act which went as well as usual. 15 min. in 1, 3 shows. The Great Goldin. Goldin has an act of magic, most spectacular in nature and which I think will set the people talking. It is a very pretentious affair, some six or seven people being in evidence all through and with his own scenery and a great amount of paraphernalia the effect is very strong indeed. This being his first performance after landing (which he did little more than twenty-four hours before he went on) he was naturally a little bit shaky, but the act is a very good one nevertheless. 19 min. full stage, 2 shows. Press Eldridge. This man went as well as usual here to-day. Kept them laughing twenty minutes. Some new and some old stuff. In 1, 2 shows. Harmony Four. I like these fellows as well as any of the knock-about comedy quartettes, and they got their share of laughter and applause from the audience. 15 min. open in 3, close in 1, 2 shows. The Van Lukens. Bar act. Among the very best in the business. 9 min. full stage, 2 shows. Motion Pictures. O. K.
