PHILADELPHIA SHOW, JAN. 16th'05 [1905]. 2. H. A. DANIELS. GEO EVANS-SRR-2-"The Honey Boy." Well known on the circuit. A good act--and draws money. Note:- Evans was sick to-day, and it was a great effort for him to go on at all. 13 mins. in one. FOUR CASTING DUNBARS-YRR-2-Four men. One dressed as a woman, one working as a tramp and two working straight. Again, the alleged comedy almost spoils the act. The act is not a first-class, finished act by any means. It's just about good--and that lets it out. Can't touch the Four Lukens in any way. 11 mins. Pal. in 5. BIOGRAPH THE FESTIVAL. Will cut it out. MUMMERS' NEW YEAR'S PARADE. Very good. THE EX-CONVICT. An exact reproduction of Robert Hilliard's sketch "No. 973." COMMENT:- The show is slow and lifeless. It will need a whole lot of doctoring to fix it up so that it will appear to have some life. Evans is so sick he can hardly walk on the stage, and Dupont and the Dunbars fell down. Then three of the three show acts are really in the wrong house.
