Camille D'Arville, 2 shows, 12 min. in 1--First time here in five years. Received an enthusiastic reception on her entrance showing that she is a prime favorite in Boston. There was a large number of young ladies in the audience this afternoon whom I have every reason to believe came to hear Miss D'Arville. Although she has not fully recovered from her illness, she was in good voice, and of course, was costumed beautifully. She did not get the applause at the finish that we naturally expected, but I think she will go better tonight. J. C. Nugent, 2 shows, 19 min. full stage--First time here. In the mirth-provoking sketch, "The Rounder". This sketch tells the tale of a man coming home from his club and gets into the wrong house. Nugent acts the part of the clubman excellently. His support is poor. There is plenty of comedy in the piece and it kept the audience in good humor from start to finish.
